    This report primarily discusses how Canadian race tracks have propered since the enactment of the 1910 Dominion legislation. Since 1910 the form of gambling known as the pari-mutuel system has displaced the form of gambling known as bookmaking on all, or nearly all, the principal race tracks of Canada.
