Abstract
Upcoming changes to the legal status of marijuana necessitate the need to evaluate information available to pediatric cancer patients regarding the potential risks and benefits. We evaluated online literature by conducting searches with specific search terms in several online search engines. We specifically aimed to identify type of literature, quality, themes, and sentiment. We found most articles were web or news articles, focused on four themes: the opinions of health care providers; the reasons for and against cannabis use; the restrictions placed by governing bodies and the need for additional research, education, and standardization, and were neutral-pro-cannabis in sentiment.
