In this paper, I present what I call critical curiosity, which I employ in a study exploring the benefits of incorporating popular culture into professional education to foster and deepen learning about core concepts or theories and contentious or “difficult” issues related to developing practice. After outlining perspectives on curiosity and connecting it to adult education and learning, I consider how popular culture can be brought into the professional education classroom as a resource to foster the quality of critical curiosity.en_US
